THE WEIGHT IS ONLY HALF THE STORY

Safe Moving in Chandler & the East Valley.

A safe needs more than a few extra hands. Its dimensions, weight, door position and the route out of the room all affect how the move should be planned.

SAFE MOVING

A better plan for a difficult item.

Whether you are relocating a safe across town or repositioning it within your home, start with the item and its access route. Tell us the make and model if you know them, the approximate dimensions and weight, and whether stairs, tight hallways or changes in level are involved. We can then discuss the scope before you commit to a move.

What this move can include

  • Home and gun safes
  • Fire-resistant document safes
  • Commercial safe cabinets

Think through the whole route.

The doorway is not the only obstacle. A safe's route may include garage slopes, narrow turns, floor transitions and the final placement in a room. Share these details with your request so the moving team can assess the job rather than guess from the word ‘safe.’ Not every item or access arrangement can be accepted; feasibility and the equipment needed are confirmed when the move is reviewed.

Please discuss anchoring or unanchoring in advance. Do not assume that structural work, electrical work or other specialist installation is included.

THE DETAILS BEHIND THE MOVE

The safe, the doorway and the final position

A safe concentrates substantial weight into a small footprint. Its outside dimensions do not tell us everything: the door, base, anchoring and route through the property matter too. Give us the manufacturer and model so the weight can be checked against the correct specifications rather than guessed from its appearance.

A garage pickup and a second-floor placement are different jobs. Include thresholds, slope, stairs, landings and turns at both ends. Describe the final position and whether the safe is currently secured to the floor. Moving the cabinet and changing its anchoring are separate details to agree before dispatch.

QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING

Before the
moving day.

Can you move a safe within the same home?

Yes, in-home repositioning is one of the request options. Describe its current and proposed locations so the team can assess the access and placement.

What if I do not know the safe's weight?

Include the make, model and dimensions if available. Tell us that the weight is unknown rather than estimating a figure you cannot verify.

Do stairs affect a safe-moving quote?

Yes. Stair layout, landings, turns and changes in level affect the route assessment. Include stairs at both ends of the move.

Should a safe be emptied before moving?

Discuss preparation for the actual model. Liberty’s general moving guidance includes removing contents; private contents and locking mechanisms should be handled according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the agreed moving plan.

Preparation references

The actual model instructions take priority. Moving and specialist servicing remain separate scopes.
